Sometimes, being a freelance journalist has its perks. Like today for example when, having worked until 4am the night before, I decided to give myself a much deserved day off and head down to one of my most favourite places in the world: Devon.
(Ok, make that 2nd favourite. I haven’t been to the Maldives yet but I’m sure that would be ranked top!)
Despite it being foggy and grey in London as soon as my trusty beetle rattled onto the M$, the sun started to shine and before long I was standing on the cliff top of Saunton Sands. having been prepared for a wet walk along the beach, my accessory of today had to be my good old hunters (in red – Paddington bear would approve!) Mine are a bit shabby now, having had them for years, but if you want a similar pair (just minus the sand) then you can get them here
